Hello, I’m Dr. Janis Hatcher!

Just a country girl committed to succeeding with God’s help

Country girl at heart who loves to cook, bake, travel, and read. I served 23.5 years on Active Duty in the Army as Logistics Officer and three years in the Army Reserves. I have a Bachelors Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management; a Masters Degree in Logistics Management; and a PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management.

I’ve always wanted to own a soul food restaurant since high school. I would often tell people that was what I was going to do in my future life. After having the bakery built in 2018, I was approached and asked if I wanted to purchase the house next door in 2019. It was VERY challenging working with city personnel to get my plans approved to convert a house into a restaurant. Pure determination and commitment on my part paid off. Despite the roadblocks and unnecessary delays, the Lord gave me my hearts desire. So, I will lift up His name and encourage His people.

The colors are unique. The red symbolizes the blood of Jesus covering my buildings, the blue is a Heavenly blue, and yellow is warming and inviting.
